(Texas)
-
- This is a radio interview I did with Jason Miller of KVLU in Texas.
Tracks played in this interview include The Last Goodbye, Moon River,
Giorgio's Theme and Piazzolla. Topics covered in the interview include
Herb Pomeroy, Astor Piazzolla, the vibraphone and the recording of Depth
of Emotion. Length: 38 minutes

- "The Last Goodbye"
-
- Ed Saindon composition from latest recording Depth of Emotion which features Dave Liebman
on soprano, Ed Saindon on vibes, David Clark on bass and Mark Walker on drums.
This composition was composed in honor of legendary educator, big band
leader and trumpeter Herb
Pomeroy who recently left us. Herb was a very special person, teacher
and musician. I had the privilege of playing with Herb for many years in
a duo format. Herb was a huge influence on me and so many other
musicians in the jazz community.
- "Tokyo Nights"
-
- Ed Saindon composition from latest recording Depth of Emotion which features Dave Liebman
on soprano, Ed Saindon on piano, David Clark on bass and Mark Walker on drums.
My wife Pam and I spent a week in Tokyo and had a great time. I gave
some clinics and was invited to play on a recital with Hidemi Murase, my
former student from Berklee. We were treated to a very special week by
Hidemi, her parents and drummer Jun Saito, (whom I have known since we
were students at Berklee in the 70's).

- "It Might As Well Be Spring"

- This is a solo vibe version of "It Might As Well Be Spring."
I recorded this song as part of a project that I did with vibists John
Piper and Tony Miceli. For more vibe solo versions, go to Tony's site
